The consolidation of the Arches is underway!
The scaffolding is going up and the chimneys are being made safe in time for the arrival of volunteer archaeologists next week – email dukesfield@outlook.com if you’d like to have a go.
If you visit the site (NE46 1SG), please take care – this is a working building site and we take safety very seriously. We’re preparing a notice board to update visitors of what is going on, and if you have a few questions, the workers on site will be happy to explain what they’re doing.
