I have your little note of the 9th present I heartily thank you for your care In forwarding me my letter from Mssrs Andre Hebert pere et filz of Paris as allsoe for Sending my bill of   <W> 302 : 11 : 6 d for acceptance for the bill of <W> 500  I had upon you  I have Endorsed itt to a friend, I hope shortly Mssrs Heberts will remit your money upon my accot., and I wonder I heare nothing of Edwd Milbournes arrivall, I hope the next will bring me the good news wch will be very acceptable unto       M B

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
