My dear Sir

I have the Favor of Yours of the 2nd and observe what You say about my Subscription to the Hexham Road & will be much obliged to You to put my Name down for 300£. As I shall so very soon have the pleasure of seeing You at Newcastle, where we propose being on Friday Sennight the 19th. I will not enter upon Mr Scrutons conduct about the Weardale enclosure Bill. In a former letter I think I mentioned to You my having £7547 in the 3 p cents which a part of might be transferred towards defray[ing] our Income Tax, provided You approved of the mode of payment. Mr Hardinge's claim I agree most perfectly with You is a <vast> deal too much and requires to be duly considered. as Mr Kit Blackett has made us an offer of his House we purpose going there on Friday Evening. Mrs Beaumont unites with me in best respects.

I am My dear Sir Most Sincerely Yours

Tho. Rd. Beaumont

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
