To Wm. Lowes Esq.                  			Ravensworth Castle     June 15th   1759



Sir

      There being Sixteen years Fee Farm Rent due from you to the Com’rs of Greenwich Hospital at Mich’s last for Crowshall at three shillings & ninepence per annum, I must desire you’ll immediately pay the same, as I shall be obliged to return it in Arrear, in case you do not, wch probably will be the occasion of some expence to you, which I should be sorry for.  My Son will call upon you for the money.  I am Sir

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
