To William Corbett Esqr

Sir

We acquainted you that we had sent your Letter & the Boards Minute to Mr Constable by a special messenger, who returned with Mr Constables answer acknowledging the recet. thereof, in which Letter he acquaints us that he had wrote to you his answer in relation to that Affair, with which we thought proper to acquaint you.

The Tennants are quite out of patience for want of their Leases & most of ‘em think they will never have any, it is realy a great inconvenience to us in the management & a great Loss to the Tennants who are unwilling to goe on with their Improvements till they are on what they call a certainty by having their Leases. We would be glad to see them putt forw[ar]d & are Sir

      Yours &c

      Walton & Boag

A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
