      By last Frydays Post, we rec’d a  Letter from Mr Everest relating the Derwentwater Leases, an extract from which I Send you Inclosed, as I have done one to Mr Stewart. I have acquainted your Father that I have done so, and hope he and you will see Mr Stewart in order that this Affair May meet with no further delay.   I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
