Dear Sir

I find we have omitted making Application to the Dean & Chapter of Carlisle for the Renewall of the Leases of Dilston & Lorbottle Tythes, which expired the 23 June last. I desire you will therefor make immediate application for the Renewal & hope this omission of ours will not be attended with any ill conveniences as it is now made at so small a distance of time. As I have now no Concern in the management of the Derwentwater Estate, you will be so good as write to my Son in answer hereto as Mr Boag is now from home & I am going into Staffordshire.

I am Sir Your most Hble Servt.

      Nich. Walton
