A Copy of a Letter to Sir Thomas Haggerston	Ravensworth Castle   Augt. 19  1759

      As it is much to be wished that the piece of disputed Common between Scremerston & Cheswick was adjusted, between the partys, we would be glad to have a meeting with the proprietors of Cheswick to Consider of Some proper Steps to be taken for that purpose and as we hope it may be convenient to you to have some person on your Accot. at Captain Romers at Scremerston next Fryday morning the 24 th Inst Mr Boag will then Attend in order that this matter may be put upon a footing of being Settled in the most equitable and Amicable way.  We beg pardon for giving you this trouble and are
