                                                                           Ravenworth Castle  June 21st 1737

Sir

	I am favoured with yours of the 16 Inst in answer to which we are prepared to remit you the Interest due to Lord Peter and the Annuity to Lady Catherine Radcliff.  I Observe you have a Certificate in the usual forme of Lady Catherines Life Since Ladyday last which Certificate I desire you’ll Show Lawyer Hunter, who is Auditor of the Derwentwater Accots for his approbation, of which you’ll be so good as Informe me after you have so done.  Your money is ready & I Shall in the mean time be preparing you proper remittances For Mr Boag & Selfe I am Sir                 Your most Obedt Humble Servt

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
