Sir

      Mr Boag being from home when I reced. yours & having been abroad almost ever since I did not Answer yours till I saw him.  I wish your Demands had been in a narrower Compas, for indeed I doe not See what can be done for you as they now Stand.  The claim you make on Mr Romer I wish might be Referred.  Mr Boag & I will both be at Morpeth on Wednesday the 18 Instant and as your business may call you thither we would be glad to see you at the Black Bull to talk that Matter over & endevour to putt it on a footing of being Settled & as I hope you will come with resolution to have it referrd, there can be no doubt of your having Justice done you.    I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
