Sir

      We have received a Letter from Captain Romer pressing us for the purchase money of Priors land at Scremerston with which pray acquaint the Board of Directors.  Inclosed you have Mr Romers Letter & we have only to add that we wish this Purchase so advantageous to the Hospital may be Compleated as soon as possable & begg leave to refer you to our Letter on that subject dated the 6th of June last.

      Inclosed we Send you the Moormasters Accounts for Three Months Ending at Midsummer last & we are Sir your most obed. Servts.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
