Dear Sir

      As there has been nothing Necessary to be wrote to the Board before this day since you were so good as write my father the Board had Executed my Commission Joyntly with Mr Boag, I thought it was Unnecessary to trouble you with anything relative thereto before.  I now begg leave to acknowledge my Obligations & Begg you will be so good as acquaint the Board therewith & that I shall Endevour to the utmost of my ability to do my Duty in all Respects , Mr Boag & I will soon send you the Names to be Incerted in the Security Bonds & I am

P.S. A Corrected Copy of a Land Lease is come from the press & the whole will soon be finished

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
