Sir

      As there are Severall Division Hedges and other Hedging in the Derwentwater Estate necessary to be made this winter we desire you will acquaint the Board herewith, in order that we may have their Commands.  We propose letting such Hedges as are proper to be made by Bargain from time to time to be planted with Quicks and Trees, but as we cannot Judge what Quantity will be got done this Season or at what prices we begg the Boards power to Act for their Interest after the best manner we can which the Directors may be assured shall be done to the utmost of our ability.

      The Season now is, & the sooner we receive the Boards commands the better & we are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
