Sir   

      Inclosed we send you our Cash Accounts for Two Months ending 31 May & 30 June last, upon the Latter of which there remained a Ballance of Five Hundred and Six pounds four shillings & four pence Three farthings in our hands.  You will also receive herein some further Agreements made for Leading Materialls to buildings & Building one additional Roome at Meldon; and likewayes you will receive the Charter Partic Bill of Loading & Invoyce of 84 Chalders of Coales amounting to £74.5.8½  Ship’d on Board of the Rachel Captain William Webster which we hope will come Safe & Good; All which be pleased to Lay before the Board   We are

The following agreements made with the following persons for Building and Leading to Buildings on the Derwentwater Estate since those sent the 18 July 1758 Viz 



With Edward Lonsdale the present Tenant at Meldon park for Building an additional Room to his present Dwelling house 15 feet by 15 feet and a staircase and also a Chamber above the said Room for the Sum of                            £32.10.00



With the said Edward Lonsdale for Leading all Materialls to the said building for the Sum of                         07.10.00



With Joseph Hepple the present Tenant at Needlesshall for leading all Materialls for building a Sett of New housing on Needlesshall Moore Exclusive of Leading the firr wood & Deales from Newcastle for the Sum of                        40.00.00



With Nathaniel Twizle the present Tenant at Hartburngrainge Moore for leading all Materialls Necessary for building a Sett of New Housing on the said Moore, Exclusive of Leading the firr wood & Deales from Newcastle for the Sum of          42.00.00 

                                                   £122.00.00

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
