      We have recd. yours of the 2nd. Instant and also the Box for which Mr. Walton is obliged to you & he desires you’ll put him in mind of settling his Acct. wth. you when we come to the Mill. The Coat to be kept ‘till then and worn by Mr. Peter Mulcaster as often as he pleases. We approve of what has been done as to the School & are glad to hear there is a chance of William Pattinsons Son recovering.

      You are desired to be so good as send all the Gun Powder you have of Mr. Waltons at yr. House in a Box so as to come by the Carrier on Monday to Newcastle & he desires to know whether there is any & what Quantity of Shot at yr. House. If there is any it must be kept. We are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
