      I have recd. your Letter of the 21st. Inst, the Contents of which are very agreeable to me. I certainly wish well to you all, and shall be happy on every occasion, to show you that you are deserving of Encouragement, never doubting to see a Continuation of that attention to the Works under your care which has ever since the beginning of it to this time been so very agreeable to me. I am perfectly satisfied that Mr. Turner’s Sentiments & mine will agree on this occasion, and you may depend upon it I shall communicate every thing to him the first time I see him. I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
