      We have this moment received your Letter of the 20th. Inst with the Recet. for Tofts Sale Notes amounting to £37 - - and if the People don’t come to you only let us know; don’t seek for them. Before Mr. Peter Mulcaster comes here we desire there may be a full consideration between Matt. Temperley & you about the Sillywray Farm and Dewey Syke both which we intend for you and him and we desire you’ll settle it amongst yourselves before Peter comes how you wd. have it and what Rent you all think Dewey Syke shd. be per Ann. we being at the expense of Repairing the Fence next the Common and of Draining it. It is the West most part that we are to have and consists of 12A. 3R. 00P Pray is there any Road thro’ that part out of Staward Ground to the Common. We have wrote to Mr. Bedlington about the Coals & hope that matter will be set right. The Owners of Staward must at all times keep the Fence of the West North and East sides of the 12A. 3R. in Repair. We are very happy to hear that Johns Son is better and sincerely wish him soon perfectly well. We are

PS. The sooner P. Mulcaster comes down the better. The Chair it is observed is safe arrived; when the time comes for its being sent back again let Jno. Corbetts Man have it and direct it to the care of Mr. Temperley at the Corner of the Sandhill Newcastle.
