Messrs. Mulcaster Farnacres 2nd. June 1783 We have recd. your Letter of the 31 Ult but yours of the 30th is not yet come to hand. What you have done about the Corn is very proper. What you have done about disposing of the Sacks is also very proper, but notwithstanding they will be returned with the Marks of the different people upon them, we think it will be right for Mr. Harbottle to set GH upon them also because that will prevent all possibility of the Sacks wth. your Workmens Corn being charged for other peoples. Mr. Walton saw Mr. Harbottle yesterday who assured him that 8s/- per Boll is the lowest price that the best Rye can possibly be afforded at, and he rather seems to be in doubt, from the great Demand, whether the Price may not rise, but he says at the same time that that will depend upon the Quantity imported, but that we may rest satisfied he will furnish us with the very best & at the lowest Price he can. We are Your Hble Servts. Walton & Turner PS. I wish you wd. learn Thos. Temperley how to put up his Letters to save paper.
