      I desire you will pay Jno. Friend £100 for which he must Sign the inclosed Recet. which you are desired to keep till we come next to the Mill. Such Money as you may yourselves want we desire you will take out of the Pay in which there are £326 in Gold but don’t take any of the half Guineas. I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
