To Joseph Stephenson Farnacres July 26th 1758
Mr Stephenson
I understood it was with you & your partner left that you wh’d Hyre the Leading the Materials for the Repairs at Tynehead & Low Byer as Cheap as you could ; but if you did not so understand it, I now desire you will do it & be as frugal as possible. If the Tenants desire to Lead & will do it upon as reasonable Terms as another person I desire they may have the prefference. You will therefore see the Tenants before you make any agreements for Leading with any body. The Tenant at Low Byer writes us that no Window is intended in the Milk Houses which must be a mistake in you or him; you will therefore sett that matter right. He says that some part of the Roof of the House is failed; Let me know how that is, & what will secure it without taking it off as we are determined not to do that. I am with service to friends at Nentsbury
Sir Yours etc
