To Capt Romer . Ravensworth Castle May 26 1758

Dear Sir

I am sorry my time will not allow me to wait upon you at present, but as Mr Boags being with you will amount to the same thing I hope you will Excuse it. Mr Boag will set out from hence so as to be with you on Monday Evening or Tuesday next, I think on Tuesday, & will then settle with you what is reasonable to be done by the Hospital at the old House, in which you intend to reside yourself. You will consider we will be tyed down not to do more than what would be necessary for a Common Tennant so that what you may think further proper to be done will fall upon your self. What ever the Common Repairs appear to amount to I would propose to allow you, & that you do the whole your self & in your own way. As to what may be the necessary repairs, you may be assured we will recommend that which is prudent as far as in Justice to the Hospital we ought. The new set of Housing upon the Moor Mr Boag will also put in a way of being done. I am

      Sir your most Hble. Servt.

      Nichos. Walton
