To Mr King                           				Ravensworth Castle   March  18 1758



Sir    

      We have this day reced yours, & desire you will order the Courts at Keswick & Thornthwaite to be proclaimed to be held the 12th & 13th April next, at which time one of us proposes to attend.  If the business at Thornthwaite does not require this you may omitt that if you think proper; we mean you may omittt a Court there.  As to the Style of the Court, we incline to be of your opinion but in that you must Act as you think proper

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
