      The Receivers for the Derwentwater Estate, being now receiving the Rents, they desired me to forward you, the Invoyces of Lead & Coales Shiped on Board of the Tyne, Cornelius Connelly Master, as you have Inclosed amounting to £379 - 6 - 8 1/4; together with the Bills of Lading & Charter parties. I hope the whole will come Safe & wth my best respects to your Self & Family I am Dr Sr   Your most Obed't H'ble Serv't

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
