Dear Sir,

We duly recd. yours of the 18th. & 25 inst and have this Day drawn upon you for £196. 10. 2 being the Amount of 683 ½ Ounces of Silver Bullion at 5s/9d. We have made the Bill payable 40 Days after Date. We are sorry to find the Market is likely to be lower. The Receipts for the pipes &c we have recd. from Mr. Walker, and thank you for the transacting of the Business relative to these matters. There are two 2d. penny Stamps which we suppose we are indebted to you for, and desire you will let us know that when you write next. We are very much obliged by the particular Account you have given us respecting your Disputes with Weller. We don’t wonder at his being dissatisfied, because no reason seems to operate with him, but we think you have got him tolerably well tyed, and that you will find him a quiet Neighbour for the time to come.

We are very happy to hear of Mr. Smeaton being in good Health. We are Dear Sir

      Your most Hble Servts.
