Sir

      On the 30th Ult we sent you several Parcells for filling up the Derwent Leases, and also a Skinn of Parchment filled up by us, since which we have not heard from you, This makes us uneasy least there should have been any miscarriage.  We shall be glad of a Line from you by the returning Post.  Inclosed you will receive p’cells for Land Ends and Hill Closes which you will make use of instead of those we sent you on the 30th Ult, as the Board have since agreed with Willm. & Thos. Todd for Hill Close which together with Land Ends are to begin one Lease.  I am for Mr Boag & Self

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
