      Inclosed I send you Jos. Airey& Co Bill on Vere Gibson & Hallifax for Three Thousand pounds dated this day & payable to me Forty Days after date which I have Endorsed to you on Accot. of the Rents & Profits of the Derwentwater Estate which pray Acknowledge the Rect. of.  & I am       Sir  yours etc

PS Inclosed you have the Certificate of Money remitted by us between 1st  January 1757 & 

the 31 December last



Remittance made on Accot. of the Rents & profits of the Derwentwater Estate from the 1st day of January 1757 to the 31 day of December 1757 Inclusive as follows

We Nichs. Walton & Hugh Boag Receivers of the Rents & Profits of the Derwentwater Estate Do hereby Certifye that the Severall Sums above mentioned amounting to Eight Thousand Pounds were remitted by us to Mr James Wood Deputy Treasurer for Greenwich Hospital on the days & times above mentioned being all the Money Remitted by us from the 1st day of January 1757 to the 31 December 1757 both days Included.  Witness our hands the 21 day of April 1758.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
