      I reced. yours & by this Post have wrote to Mr Heppell to How the Whinns imediately & to let you have Money for paying the Hedger so that you will call upon him & get Twenty Pounds now & afterwards what Sums you want in doing which I beg you’ll take care & see you pay the Hedgers for no more than the work done, & take their Recets. as below.	

      The Stone <Stoopes> Mr Boag ordered William Labourn to agree with a Workman for , so that you misunderstood him & I apprehend you are mistaken as to the price too, for you had only agreed with a man to <Winn> them at 2:6d but the other <Win> dress, Sett & find Lead, at 3s, which I think cheaper than what you mention.

      In making the Gates I desire you’ll be as frugall as possible.  I am
