      We have fixed the Recet. of the Derwent’r Rents at Keswick on Tuesday 12th October next & the Court there upon the same day & at Thornthwaite (if one is necessary) the day following of wch. Mr King has notice.  I think one of us will certainly be with you so that we will be glad to see you at Penrith on Wednesday the 11 at Noon unless you hear from Mr Boag or me to the Contrary.  I am much obliged to you for your Civilitys to my Son & Daughter & the Company with thanks.  They got well home and desire their Service, I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
