To Mr E Nicholson Bailiff at Keswick Ravensworth Castle March 18 1758

We have this day wrote to Mr King to proclaim the Courts to be held at Keswick and Thornthwaite, the 12th & 13th of next Month at which time one of us proposes to attend. But if Mr King thinks a Court at Thornthwaite unnecessary, he is to postpone it or not as he thinks proper; you will therefore wait his order, and act accordingly. You will take care to receive the Small Rents as usual & have all your other matters in proper order.

      I am etc N W
