I have before mee yours of the 10th p[rese]nt for Answer thereunto pray take notice that I accept not of your Iron, soe may order the disposall thereof as you please seeing you neglected soe Long answering of my letter, I did really thinke you had accepted of my prop[os]ition w[hi]ch had almost made mee Loose a good bargaine; butt your Letter came In time, and I have supplied myselfe, with as good sorts as yours is and something Cheaper than I offered you, I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
