I have before mee yours of the 17th p[re]s[en]t. I know very well that there is noe such sort of Sweeds Iron Sq[uare], as I first writ for, you say you have a parcell of full Inch and halpe [half] and some neare two Inch pray advise mee w[ha]t quantity you have, of that sort, and your lowest price perhaps I will take all you have soe remaines

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
