      Nunwick May 9th 1775

Madam

I received the favour of Yours of the 6th, as I have Advertised Colt Park Estate to be sold, the Purchaser cannot enter before Old Martinmas, so we must make it the week after, to pay you that Money, Therefore on the 27th or 28th of November, you may depend upon your Money being paid you. I am,

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
