Mr Mo. Harrison at Lintzgarth Mil Newca 19 March 1761

Mr Harrison

I have spoke to Sir Wr. about Mr Hutchinson’s Lease, who says he does not intend to renew it, & I have wrote Mr Hodgson accordingly; therefore if you have not done it already you are at Liberty to take it your self. You remember what you said at Dukesfield that you would never require any damage on pretence of the mil reak I am etc JR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
