Sir      I have this Post remitted to Mr Thomas Mayer a Bill for £211 . 16s . 10d w[hi]ch he will pay you on your signing the proper Receipts;  Two hundred Pounds is in part of Sir Wr. Blackett & the late William Peareth Esqr.  joint Bond to you for £2000     the £11 . 16s . 10d is for Intrest of £1000 / this remaining on the said Bond to the 22nd instant     I am etc          J. The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
