Sir	I received your Letter the 10th ins[tan]t & observe that you have sent a pack of Hides to Mr Forster at Allenheads for the Use of Sir Thos Blackett Bt Lead Mines there, & Inclos’d I send you a Bill drawn by Eden Ridley & Co on Castell & Co at One Month the dated this day for £35-11-6 being the Amount of your Bill for the same __ Please to advise me on your Rec[eip]t of the Bill                                                         I am etc  J.E.B

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
