To Rd. Horne Esqr. Ravensworth Castle Decem. 7 1759

Sir

Mr Fenwick has lately rode the Boundary of his Manor of Bywell which one of us attended, & in that part joyning upon Whittonstall Fell rode in part of the Hospitals Common, upon which he was discharged & shown which way his Boundary lay, by which it appeared he rode in, above One Hundred Acres of the Hospitals Liberty. We have since seen Mr Fenwick who is very desirous of having the matter amicably adjusted, and has proposed to refer it. Three Gentlemen of the Law were named viz Mr Clenell, Mr Collingwood & Mr Fawcett, upon which we observed that it was not in our Power to name Refferees without the Boards direction, but that the Gentlemen named were such as we had no objection to, provided the Board had none, & were willing to Referr the matter in dispute. Be pleased to lay this before the Board for their directions herein. We are

      Sir Your most Humble Servts

      Hugh Boag Ns. Walton Jun.
