Sir

      We have this day sent by the London Carrier who will be at the White Horse in Cripplegate on Fryday the 5th of October Next directed for you at the Navy Office Three Hundred printed Leases, Two Hundred & Twenty intended for those farmes that have a Right of Common wth a proviso for dividing the Same & Eighty without the proviso for farmes which have no right of Common & we will very soon send particulars for the filling of them up.

      The Lead Mine Leases shall be forwarded with all Expedition   and we are Sir Your most obed. Servts.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
