Sir

I have received your Letter inclosing me Mr Savage’s receipt for four hundred and Ninety five pounds for the half Years int[e]r[es]t due to him the 6th instant from Sr Wr Blackett on the Mortgage of Wallington; and have given you Credit for the Same. I am sorry you have not succeeded in your Search about Sams Island, Any more than for the Decree for Confirming the Award for the Division of Ingo Moor as agreed on by the Deed of 1696/7. I observe what you say about Woodcroft Title deeds and the part of them w[hi]ch relates as well to Winlaton as to that Estate. I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
