   under Cover to  Sir Wr. Blackett



     Inclosed is my Bill on Plumb & Browne  for one hundred pounds for the quars. Rent Charge and Allowance due to you from Sir Wr. Blackett at Ladydy. last; which I should be glad to know that you receive safe.  I have Sixteen pounds  Seventeen shillings & Eight pence of your money in my hands: being the balance of the inclosed Acct. at the bottom of which I have wrote a receipt & if you will please to Sign It and return the Acct. I will send you a Bill for the balance.

Twenty days after date pay to Walter Trevelyan Esq. or Order the Sum of one hundred pounds value in Acct. & place the same to Acct. with Sir Wr. Bt. as by Advice from Hen Richmond

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
