To Sir Wr. Blackett Bt. M.P. in Half Moon Street Newcas. 16 April 1770

                           Piccadilly London

Honrd Sir I cannot think of anything material to write about at present; having in my two last letters mentioned all that has occurred. only lest any delay should happen in the payment of Mr Errington’s Money for want of a discharge from yourself, it may be right, as the Note is not endorsed, to sign the inclosed Authority to give him a receipt, if required which I think is better than venturing the Note by the post. Mr John Bell is removed hither from Hexham.

I wish you a good journey and beg leave to say it will be a great Satisfaction to me to receive, as often as Convenient, an Account of your Health. I am etc HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
