         In Hexham



Sir      I do not find that I have received any part of the Subscriptions to Hexham Bridge from the Subscribers whose Names are contained in the Book you gave me on the 17th Oct[obe]r 1770.  Except the first payment of Sir Lanct. Allgood & Mr Hen Errington’s & the full of Mr Carr of Etals & Mr Collingwood of Cornhill’s Subscriptions.

      I have sent you herewith a Copy of your Book of Subscriptions, to which you will please to add such payments as have been made you since you gave it me.  & as to the Money in your hands I shall be glad to receive it when you come next to Newcastle as you propose,

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
