      I rec[eive]d your letter am very glad to hear that your are both in good health I hertily wish you may long continue so

      You may send for the heffers when you please I hope they will answer your Expectations

Am sorry to hear that Mr Boothe will have trouble given him in his Election I wonder <Tiburne Do> should leave his old friend tho I think not much better could be Expected from him pray give humble service to my Lord and Mr Booth & I heartily wish him success my humble service to S[i]r Samuel Daniel I dare answer he[ll] not leave his old friend as the other has so basely done I am honest Capt your real friend to serve you

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
