Received Mr Fenwick’s answer on the subject of Sir Wm Chators Mortgage on Brown’s share of Scremerston Colliery, & enclosed it to the Secretary for the Boards information.  After attending to matters in the Office, went to look at some draining in Dilston Park Farm, then proceeded to examine the shores of the Tyne which have sustained no damage from the last flood.  Went through the farms of Thornborough & returned by Corbridge Town Farm to look at a field which the Tenant applied to have drained before ploughing, which it is certainly in want of.  Wrote to the Surveyor of the Gateshead Turnpike urging him to complete the bye road at Dilston, rendered necessary by the alteration of the Turnpike, having got the public accommodation he is very dilatory in attending to our convenience.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
