Forwarded to the Secretary the estimates for refitting the Mill at Allerwash, in a new building to be made by the Railway Company, with a new water wheel at Barley Mill, also an undertaking from the Tenant to pay an additional rent of £10 from and after November next, in consideration of the improvement. Forwarded at the same timer Mr Foster’s report upon the Tenders for Coal & Lime at Brokenheugh & Allerwash, with a letter of remarks & explanation to the Secretary.  Rode to Hexham Market to meet some people on business.  No occurrence of moment.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
