Dr Sir	I am favoured with your letter of the 22 inst & observe the Contents _ The Newcastle Fors of Lead is 21 Cwts & this last large Sale that Mr Blackett made was at £16-10 per For Refin’d & Common together, but what we now sell in small parcells are at £17 per For for Refin’d & £16-15 for Com[m]on _ I shall Ship in a day or two 5 Fors Refin’d Lead & 3 Casks Lead Fume for Coll Beaumont, in the Newcastle Capt Hutchinson for Hull & which I hope will arrive safe                                      I am etc   J.S

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
