Sir

I rec[eiv]ed the West Kenton Lease by Mr Fawcett & the Tenants have executed the counterpart, wch I send you by Mrs Rayner  they asked me what was the charge. I told them I did not know, for  I had no directions about it. We are now just covering in the second house; wch is better than a common farm house, at Mr Kings desire & I think will not be disagreable to you. As we can do little more at the buildings this year we shall proceed with the hedges &c as the season serves; but good quicks are here very dear, being 10s a thous[an]d.  Mr King is prepare[in]g a good deal of Manure to lay upon the face of his present farm this winter for wch he says he expects an Allowance out of the £200 but I tell him he has no pretence to any allow[an]ce out of that sum, but for what he does after the comencem[en]t of the term for the whole Estate.
