I am desired by Sir Wr Blackett  to acquaint you with the melancholy acco[un]t of Lady Blacketts death: who died this afternoon after an illness of ten days.

The following invitation was sent with the mourning to all the Bearers and Mourners



vizt The favour of your [inserted] honour of your Lordships company is desired at Sir Wr Blacketts house in Newcastle on Thursday 27th inst exactly at four o clock in the afternoon to accompany the corpse of Lady Blackett to the place of Internment as a Bearer (or Mourner)
