I Have duly received your letters of the 13th. 17th. 18th. And 19th: inst advising the receipt of the following sums-

Mr Parker called this morning to enquire if Mr Walker had made a purchase of Slag Lead and to what <interest> We have but 450 P[iece]s Ref[ine]d Slag which I offered yesterday to Mr Stagg of Stockton at £15-10

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
