      I have this day sent you John Pickersgill the Leed Carrier a ps. fine Silver Containing Thirteen Hundred and Four Ounces which I desire you will place to Account with Thomas Rd. Beaumont Esq. as below and advise Mr Blackett on your receipt of the same – I am &c T.C.



For a ps. fine Silver <q> 1304 @ 6/4 p[er] Ounce £412.18.8.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
