Letter – Nicholas Walton to William Heppell – 9 Jan 1759

To Mr Heppell

      I am surprized to find you have not begun to How the Whinns in your Farm on each side the Turnpike Road thro’ which the Hedge passes as you promised when we were last with you, and must desire you imediately to begin & do the same, so as that the Hedgers may get forward in this Season which is a very good one.  I desire you’ll pay Geo. Liddell Twenty Pounds on his recet. to pay the Hedgers on Accot. & that you will from time to time when they want Money pay George what Sums he wants, but so as not to let him have more than the work done which you may easily judge of by the number of Roods, the price you know is Sixteen pence for each Rood. I am
